WALK THE TALK!

He said to them in reply, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it.” (Luke 8:21)

Do you want to be part of the God's Family?

Walk the Talk!

It is not enough to habitually read the bible in order to know the word of God. You should also hear and listen to the Word sent to you by the Lord through other people. There are times when you will experience a personal encounter with God, elevating you to His state of grace, and knowing in your heart that the Lord is speaking to you through a message you heard from a pastor, priest, preacher, parent or friend. Sometimes it may even come from a total stranger.

Once you hear the Lord speaks, it is time for you to act. It is in your action and obedience to the Word of God that makes you enjoy the love and comfort of being a part of God's Family.

“Do whatever He tells you.” (John 2:5)

Are you doing what Jesus is telling you to do?

Jesus is the "word made flesh" (Jn 1:14) and whatever He says will surely happen (Is 55:11). These words that the Lord is telling you to do can be found in the Bible. It is there in your own home, just waiting to be opened, read, and put into use. It is not just a book that is intended for display, it is your very "book of life".

St. Cyprian of Cathage wrote, "How can a man say he believes in Christ if he doesn't do what Christ commanded him to do? The fact of life is "man does whatever he believes in".

If you truly believe in Christ, you will surely act accordingly to His word.

It is very easy to say "I believe in Jesus Christ" (we regularly proclaim this during mass) but we find it difficult to obey each and every word He says most especially when the Lord is convicting us of our wrongful doings. The truth is, "if we want the best in life, we must not just believe but obey". As it is written, "he who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him (Jn 3:36).

Here is the true token of a soul absolutely perfect: when one has succeeded in leaving behind his own will to such a degree as no longer to seek, to aim, or to desire to do what he would will, but only what God wills (St Bernard).
