PERHAPS THEY WILL SEE

Now, son of man, during the day while they are looking on, prepare your baggage as though for exile, and again while they are looking on, migrate from where you live to another place; perhaps they will see that they are a rebellious house. (Ezekiel 12:3)

There will be times when the LORD will make you do things to show His people what is about to happen to them if they continue to rebel against God. Instead of a word prophecy, it will be an action prophecy where you will be like an actor doing a live show and the people will be your audience. In this way, "Perhaps they will see that they are a rebellious house".

Such action prophecies happened in the lives of Ezekiel (Chapter 12) and Noah. Ezekiel was made to prepare his baggage at the sight of the people as though for exile, dig a hole and pass through it while they look on so that they will see that this will happen to them; they will become captives that will go into exile. Noah built an ark at the sight of the people in preparation for the great flood that destroyed the people.

Each you day, you have been blessed to dedicate your life to God. You are always mindful that anything that happens to you comes from Him. This is not so to most people who still continue to live in darkness. People who focuses more on materialism and pleasures of the world. They attribute their lives to their own and to the world and not to the LORD.

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ, that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life (Jn 3:16). Jesus came to the world not just to teach and preach but through His actions, brought to fulfillment all that is written in the scriptures.

The LORD invites you to do the same. He has made you a witness to His grace and a model to follow. Live your life in accordance with His will and purpose so that people will see you and glorify the Father.

REFLECTION QUESTION
What is the LORD telling you to do in order to be a good example for His people? Do you still live in accordance with the pleasures of the world or with God's will and purpose?

Lord, may your will and purpose be my daily living and not be held captive by the pleasures of the world.
